Luis Cabra appointed as the new President of FuelsEurope & Concawe
The Members of the European Petroleum Refiners Association unanimously appointed Luis Cabra as President and Mr Philippe Ducom as Vice-President of the Association for the next two-year term.
Luis Cabra, the new President of FuelsEurope & Concawe, is a Spanish citizen, Deputy CEO of REPSOL, Executive Managing Director of Energy Transition, Sustainability and Technology, and a member of REPSOL’s Executive Committee.
Luis Cabra stated “I am honoured by this appointment and I thank the members for their trust. My predecessor, Bela Kelemen, has done an outstanding job, with the support of the team in Brussels, in launching the transformation of our sector, materialised by the Clean Fuels for All pathway, and driving the transition towards a climate-neutral industry by 2050. I thank Bela for that achievement”. He added, “I will do my best efforts to pursue the engagement with the European institutions and Member States to successfully design an enabling policy framework to attract the required investments to our industry and continue creating quality employment.”
Director General John Cooper commented “We are delighted to welcome Luis as our new President. His role as Executive Managing Director of Energy Transition, Sustainability and Technology within REPSOL will be extremely beneficial in his role. It also demonstrates that our members, by appointing Luis as President, want to put even more emphasis on the transformation of our sector.”
Mr Philippe Ducom, President of EXXONMOBIL Europe, has been re-appointed as Vice-President of the Association for the next two-year term.
