The Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) has significantly contributed to the transformation of our society by promoting the development of transport on the one hand and by stimulating the economic activity on the other.
However, by combusting petroleum-based fuels, the ICE follows a linear carbon cycle, leading to accumulated CO2 in the atmosphere.
The ICE powered by low-carbon liquid fuels adopt a circular carbon cycle, without increasing the concentration of carbon in the atmosphere. We can thus preserve the advantages of the ICE without impacting the climate, which will become just as climate neutral as electric or hydrogen vehicles.
