Beyond Electrification: Balancing Complexity and Flexibility in the EU’s Sustainable Fuels Policies

On March, 4th Fuelseurope Director Alessandro Bartelloni will be one of the speakers participating to the Public Debate “Beyond Electrification: Balancing Complexity and Flexibility in the EU’s Sustainable Fuels Policies" organised by ERCST, The Roundtable on Climate Change and Sustainable Transition.

In a time where electrification is gaining historical momentum in the energy transition discourse, it is crucial to analyse the pivotal role of biofuels, e-fuels and hydrogen in the decarbonisation process of hard-to-electrify sectors.

During the debate, special attention will be given to the tailored-made application of sustainable fuels and hydrogen in the maritime, aviation and heavy-industry sectors as well as to the importance of implementing technology-neutral policies and incentives to promote innovation, energy diversification and market competition.

The event will take place between 15:00-16:30 at ERCST office in Brussels, with the possibility to follow it online for those located abroad.
